Refund policy
Look, we know you are used to disappointment. It’s why you are here. But we don't want our shirts to be the reason you cry yourself to sleep at night. That’s what your football club is for.
Here is how we handle it when things go wrong.
1. The "Own Goal" (Defective or Wrong Item)
Did we send you the wrong shirt? Is the print blurry? Is there a hole in the armpit? That is our fault.Â

Do not return it. We don't want a broken shirt.

Email us at info@expecteddisappointment.com with a photo of the damage.

We will send you a brand new one for free. Immediately.

You can keep the messed-up one. Use it to clean your car or give it to a rival fan.
2. The "Tactical Error" (Wrong Size or Change of Mind)
Did you order a Small but actually need a Large because of all the comfort eating? Did you realize you hate the color? That is on you. But we are merciful.
You have 30 days from the day you receive your item to request a return.

The Rule: You must ship the item back to our HQ in Mechelen, Belgium at your own expense.

The Condition: The item must be unworn, unwashed, and in the original packaging. If you wear it to the pub, spill beer on it, and try to return it, we will know. We have a very sensitive nose.

The Refund: Once we receive your return and it passes the "Sniff Test," we will refund your original payment method (excluding shipping costs) within 10 business days.

3. The "Disappointment Discount" (Alternative to Returning)
Returning things is a hassle. You have to go to the post office, print a label, and wait. Want to skip the drama?
If you picked the wrong size, email us. We might just offer you a discount code to buy the correct size, so you can keep the first one and give it to a friend. Less hassle for you, less hassle for us. Everyone wins (except your bank account, slightly).
4. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Gift Cards: Non-refundable (obviously).

Worn Items: If it looks like you played 90 minutes in it, we aren't taking it back.
5. European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
Legally, we have to tell you this: Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. But honestly, see point #2 it's easier if you just talk to us first.
